Maintenance & Reliability Professional – Are you ready to take the next step in your career?

We are ARMS Reliability, an internationally recognized company that has provided some of the world’s most successful companies with Asset Reliability Solutions. We currently have two vacant positions available to join our North American operations based in our head office in Austin, TX.

Our services which we provide to companies in Power Generation, Petrochem, Manufacturing and Mining are experiencing continued high demand, and we want to talk to talented Reliability & Maintenance Professionals who are ready to take the next steps in their career.

Despite the poor economic environments of the last 24 months our operations have continued to experience rapid growth, and we again need to add valuable resources to help service growing corporate wide engagements.

Preferably you are degree-qualified in an engineering discipline, with a minimum of 5 years industry experience. Exposure to reliability or maintenance engineering/planning and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

You must be willing to relocate to our growing office in Austin, TX. You also must be able to travel to various client sites throughout North America. Above all, you are passionate about achieving results and want to align yourself with a company that will reward you accordingly.

Skills in RCM, Root Cause Analysis or Reliability Block Modelling an advantage.

Some More About Your Position


We need to add to its staff to be able to service the increasing demand for our services in all areas, and take advantage of the many opportunities we have to further expand within our existing customer database, new customers, new industries and unexplored territories. As such we require an energetic, professional with good communication skills that is highly motivated to join our team.

 

Your role will include:

  • Undertaking Reliability Studies using Reliability Methods including but not limited to:

- RCM
- Reliability Block Modeling
- Weibull data analysis,
- FMECA
- Lifecycle Cost Calculations,
- and Root Cause Analysis.

  • Facilitating Reliability Studies for client organizations, as well as training and coaching others in Reliability methods for client in-house training and public seminars.
  • Report writing, technical development & preparing presentations.
  • Identify incremental business opportunities that lead to follow on or new business
  • Making Presentations at public seminars, to senior executives of client organizations, industry conferences, trade shows, and workshops.
  • Liaise with client staff, and maintain positive relations.
  • Contribute to innovation through development and application of RAMS techniques and software
  • In order to successfully carry out these activities you will need to be competent and develop further skills in:-
  • Understanding of Reliability methods and application of the Isograph Software range.
  • Use of Access databases, excel spreadsheets.
  • Understand how client systems collect failure data, and become an expert in data analysis.
  • Public speaking whereby you are able to effectively communicate with a diverse demographic from hourly employees to senior executives.
  • Influencing and sales closing skills.
  • Computer literacy including use of internet, Microsoft office products, Reliability applications, customer database.

 

The work hours will be...

 

The standard work hours for the company are 8am - 4:30pm. We provide a flexible working environment, like to enjoy our successes and understand and encourage the need for a balanced work, personal & family relationships.

The role will involve travel within North America and Internationally. As a general principle we are conscious of the importance of family life and do not expect long periods away from home. It is rare that any of the staff are away from home base over a weekend, and every attempt is made to minimize such interruptions.

The salary for this position will be negotiable based upon your skills and experiences.
